The story of Colera began in 1979 in Sao Paulo when two brothers, Redson (guitar/vox) and Pierre (drums), backed with their buddy Val (bass), formed the band influenced by classic punk bands like The Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers and The Clash. Their first recordings appeared in 1982 on the Grito Suburbanos 12″ compilation, alongside bands such as Olho Seco and Inocentes, who also made their first appearances on vinyl.
After three years of of Brasilian and international hardcore punk compilations, they put out their first LP, Tente Mudar O Amanhã, on the legendary Ataque Frontal records, a label that reissued the brilliant SUB compilation the same year and put out Ataque Sonoro, both seminal compilations of Brasilian 80s hardcore punk.
For the first time in history, now you can enjoy the official press of Tente Mudar O Amanhã, the first Colera album in cassette format. Limited to 175 copies and each copy includes a two-sided folded insert with lyrics and photos.
